Yes. Even though many people are paid by the hour that is not a definition of how much their time is work. It is more a definition of the value that society places upon those skills. Should professional athletes get paid millions of dollars to play games, in my opinion NO. Should service professions and educators receive more compensation, YES. I feel that the skills of a surgeon or a scientist or a teacher are more valuable than being able to run a 4.2 40. America loves it's entertainment and that's why actors get paid such outrageous salaries. Time is priceless, no matter how much your hourly wage is.
